Fire and Ice By Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire; Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

This poem has inspired previous dance works I have created :)

This poem deeply inspired me because it portrays human emotion and struggle when it comes to life. The poem has such powerful words that stand out to me. I think that fire represents hate and jealousy that we face everday. Ice I think portrays people not mixing in with the real world and avoiding problems in life which leads to more destruction. This poem reflects that theses problems will always be there as fire and ice are too opposite to make harmony.
